Beyond performance, research and education, Ossi is known for his work as an expert drum-builder, using sustainable Finnish wood. He founded the brand Ossi Percussion, which emerged from a long-term product development process.

His drum brand focuses on producing high-end congas and djembes, developed in collaboration with some of the best percussionists worldwide. For several years, Ossi has perfected the sound of his drums by bringing together the West African instrument-building tradition with his Finnish woodworking know-how. His drums have been developed with some of the world’s best percussionists, are built to last a lifetime, and with environmental sustainability in mind.
